Bearing Point draws from Brutalist environments shaped by weight, repetition, and structural exposure, and from a Modernist precision that defines the current state of the self. Growing up in East London within a diasporic context, those conditions were not chosen. The concrete carries the load. What sits alongside it is deliberate, precise, a clarity that comes through maturity that occupies the same space without relieving it. The sculpture holds its position under strain, through the specific logic of how load is distributed when the structure does not soften.
